By Mark Singer (Independence, Missouri) FEB 9 | The U. S. Navy announced Tuesday that it would finish implementation of the training program for all of its service members on the repeal of the "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" ban on open service by Gay & Lesbian sailors by June 30th.
According to the Washington Post,
In a message sent to sailors Tuesday, the Navy said it will complete training for commanders no later than April 30 and for active and reserve personnel, civilian Navy employees, and contractors two months later.Training for commanders will include instruction about explaining the policy changes and expectations of conduct to the rank and file. The training for active and reserve personnel and contractors will "emphasize policies and expectations of personal behavior," according to the Navy statement. The Navy was the only service to detail its training plans in a publicly distributed message. The other services are preparing to begin training but could not provide further details, according to Pentagon spokeswoman Eileen Lainez.

Does this mean the Navy has a 2 month program for training straight service members about appropriate behaviour policy changes and expectations towards accepting gay people? Can they possibly make this program available to the right wing conservatives and Christian bigots?
I don't think the training program will involve 2 months of instruction, just that it will take 2 months to complete the whole program across their whole service. Your point though, about providing such training to conservatives and bigots is well taken, although methinks it would only work if it were mandatory, and only if electro-shocks were administered when they deliberately 'tune out' the message.
