Brody's Journal... Aged 16 – 21? Enter Stonewall’s Film Clip Competition

By Gary Nunn (London, England) FEB 10 | Stonewall has teamed up with the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival to launch its annual film clip competition, where anyone aged 16 – 21 is invited to submit a short clip with a positive and inspirational message about being young and lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB) in Britain today. This year a host of exciting celebrities are supporting the competition. The best clip will win a private capsule experience on the EDF Energy London Eye with Sir Ian McKellen. Judges this year include Stonewall Entertainer of the Year award winner John Partridge and Anna Richardson (The Sex Education Show).

Clips can be up to three minutes long and filmed in any medium – including mobile phone, webcam, camcorder or digital camera. You don’t have to be LGB to enter and the theme this year is ‘It gets better … today’ – Stonewall’s campaign to reassure young LGB people that they have the right to feel great about who they are right now; they don’t need to wait for things to get better (www.stonewall.org.uk/itgetsbettertoday). Include the words ‘It gets better … today’ in your entry for a chance to feature on Stonewall’s YouTube channel – as well as being entered into this exciting competition.
