By Mark Singer (Washington DC) NOV 1 | Nathan Manske, the Brooklyn, New Yorker whose website. 'I'm from Driftwood,' chronicles the stories of thousands of LGBT folk globally has been on the road since September 1st criss-crossing the United States meeting contributors, new people, and holding events along the way.
The four month, 50-state IFD Story Tour will collect and share more LGBT stories from the smallest towns and biggest cities across America showing that LGBT people are everywhere and from every walk of life.
According to Manske, the IFD Story Tour route will be created based almost entirely by suggestions made by his readers. In many towns along the way, IFD will have Reading Events, where they will read stories from the site as well as show Video Stories.
Manske notes that there is some flexibility to the tour route and asks for suggestions from readers as to where to head next. The tour is tentatively scheduled to conclude in New Orleans on January 10th, 2011 with a 'Wrap Party,' to be announced.
