Lt. Dan Choi (Featured Leader)
In 2009, Lt. Dan Choi, a West Point graduate and Iraq veteran fluent in Arabic, was discharged from the Army after announcing he was gay. He served for a decade under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Lt. Choi is a Cofounder of Knights Out, an organization of West Point alumni advocating for the rights of gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military. Malcolm Lazin is the Founder and Executive Director of Equality Forum. Lazin is an innovative and strategic GLBT civil rights leader. He is the Executive Producer of award-winning documentary films: "Gay Pioneers," "JIM IN BOLD," and "Saint of 9/11." He spearheaded and oversees GLBT History Month. Kevin Naff (Facilitator)
Kevin Naff is Cofounder and Editor of DC Agenda, a print and online news service covering LGBT issues. Previously, Naff was Editor of the Washington Blade, where he won numerous awards, including three consecutive first-place Dateline Awards for editorial writing from the Society of Professional Journalists. Naff has worked as an editor at Reuters and spent four years at the Baltimore Sun. [More].
