By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) Apr 1 | London's premier LGBT cross-arts festival, GFEST is a platform for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) and queer artists, organisations and venues to promote LGBT and queer arts. Organised by arts charity Wise Thoughts, GFEST features established alongside fresh or young LGBT artists and queer talent across the arts, including visual arts, theatre, dance and performance, LGBT short films, debates, workshops and parties. GFEST takes place annually in November in various venues across London.
"Judging from many enquires after GFEST 09, we are expecting a number of very high quality submissions this year. I am pleased to say that due to ever expanding interest and wider support from the artistic and gay community, we can organise a better GFEST 2010." Wise Thoughts' Niranjan Kamatkar, artistic director of GFEST, said in an interview with pinknews.uk Wednesday.
