By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) Feb 11 | Less than twenty-four hours after attending the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing last week, Lt. Dan Choi was recalled by his National Guard Unit Commander to attend a critical unit drill this past weekend.
Appearing on CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer yesterday, when asked if he felt that the summons from his unit, coming on the heels of supportive statements by Defence Secretary Robert Gates and JCS Chair Admiral Mike Mullen to repeal the DADT policy in that hearing, to allow openly Gay & Lesbians to serve signaled a subtle shift in the current atmosphere, Choi replied that he was still under the threat of being fired at any moment.
