WASHINGTON -- MSNBC rejected this ad asking them to explain why they've invited Tony Perkins, a hate group leader who lies about LGBT people, onto their network 23 times in the past 16 months, more than any other network. It's a question 20,000 people of faith have demanded an answer to, but MSNBC has refused to answer and continues to give Perkins a national platform.

So who runs this network? MicroSoft? It is sure implied in the initials. NBC? The peacock seems to imply that. Or is it completely independent? Maybe it is time to identify the people who actually control MSNBC and have everyone contact them individually.

The "style" MSNBC dates from GE's then 51% ownership of Microsoft (from 1982) through GE Capital Corporation and a licensing deal struck between Bill Gates and the then Bronfman's ownership of the original GE MCA/Universal holdings for the creation of an on-line news service in the mid 1990's.
GE's Software Publishing Group operating arm which at one time or another also included ownership of Ashton-Tate's dBase, Oracle's first relational data-base (the name of which is lost to the mists of time) and a veritable cornucopia of software which we had become dependent upon without the knowledge that GE owned it, incidentally made Gates the billionaire that he is when they bought him and his partners out in 1982, although under the terms of the deal Gates (and his partners) retained "operational" control of Microsoft until he retired.

I should have mentioned that Comcast has a rather unsavory reputation with regard to LGBTQ issues, not at all unlike Target, both having been revealed as having financed a number of anti-gay initiatives in recent years.

Target is due to enter Canada in old Zellers stores. I wonder if they will be different here.
Target (U.S.A.) lost their Trademark suit against the "Target" clothier company (Canada) which pre-existed their own creation in the U.S.A., so it's yet to be determined what name they will be operating under; but, it won't be Target; what is known though is that even before the doors have opened the company has become embroiled in labour disputes which threaten whether it will open at all whether that be in Zellers properties or not. Zellers has said they are closing their stores regardless, with or without Target.
