Des Downuder's column for Sunday 22nd May 2011 may be delayed owing to verification of any rapturing going on around the world. So far the Earth and its inhabitants seem to be intact, in place and not in the least enraptured, except for the usual Saturday night ritual of heavenly bodies being unwrapped.
