Brody's Journal... Make Homosexuals Marry

By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) June 7 | Writers and directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon have created a campaign meant to insure that the repeal of Proposition 8 – the voter amendment that effectively eliminated the right of gay men and women to marry legally in the state of California – remain in minds of the public, Make Homosexuals Marry articulating an obvious conceit: that marriage remains marriage no matter of the sexuality of those who enter in wedlock. The short film, starring Justin Long and Mike White, son of the Reverend Mel White, co-founder of Soulforce, the national gay rights advocacy group that works to free the LBGT community from political and religious oppression, charts the history of a gay couple who meet, fall madly in love, marry, and well, remain married. The group has a Facebook Fan Page as well.
Meet Devin & Glenn--two gents who met, fell in love, got married, and then had to deal with the consequences of that decision. From obnoxious in-laws (Tom Arnold) to passive aggressive fights over dinner, Devin & Glenn have the same problems that most married couples deal with--and that's the point...
