By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) Apr 24 | Jason Bellini is a Washington D. C. based freelance TV journalist who has worked for MTV, CBS, and CNN. In 2006, he received the Journalist of the Year award from the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.
In this special report by Bellini reporting for The Advocate.com, he examines the growing anger and impatience by LGBT activists over the widely perceived indifference of the Obama Administration regarding a repeal of DADT this year as well as ineffectual leadership by the Human Rights Campaign in being proactive in pushing the White House, in particular the President, to lobby the Senate to pass the legislation this year as part of a omnibus defence budget spending bill. Activists at Michaelangelo Signorile's D.C. Town Hall meeting panel this past Thursday called on HRC president Joe Solmonese to resign if "don't ask, don't tell" isn't repealed in the next few weeks.
