Brody's Journal... Last chances to vote! Help the Matthew Shepard Foundation win a $1M grant

This is it! Tomorrow, Thursday, December 8th is the last day to vote for the Foundation in the American Giving Awards Presented by Chase. The Foundation is one of five charities nationwide who are finalists in the American Giving Awards, a contest that will provide a $1 million grant to the winner. If we are chosen, we will create a new interactive online learning program to help LGBT and Allied youth cope with and avoid bullying.
We have been so fortunate to have the support of Ellen & Betty DeGeneres, Cyndi Lauper, Andy Cohen, Chelsea Handler, Ben Cohen, Reichen Lehmkuhl, Rib Hillis, the Human Rights Campaign, the Give a Damn Campaign, GLAAD, the StandUp Foundation, the American Foundation for Equal Rights, NOH8, Equality PA and many others, in promoting the Foundation during the competition. Will you help us?
If you are a Facebook user, you can still vote once today and once tomorrow before 11:59 p.m. EST for our proposal. The more votes we get, the better our chance of delivering a top-notch, diverse and useful program for as many youth as possible, as soon as possible. We strongly believe this will be a wonderful legacy for Matt and a way to keep LGBT youth safe for years to come.
You can find the page where you can cast your vote atwww.VoteMatthewShepard.org --- and if you are a Chase Bank online customer, you can vote one more time at Chase.com from your account. Unfortunately, mobile voting is not an option. Please vote from a computer.
Voting is free, only takes a moment, and every vote will help us “Replace Hate with Understanding, Compassion and Acceptance.”
Be sure to tune into the NBC Primetime Special on Saturday, December 10th at 8 p.m. Eastern & Pacific, 7 p.m. Central & Mountain, to see who takes home the $1 million grant.
Thank you from all of us at the Foundation for your love, support and votes!
