By Brody Levesque | NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- During Tuesday's appearance on ABC's The View, U. S. Vice-President Joe Biden became visibly emotional when asked about the incident during the last week's Republican presidential debate held in Orlando, Florida, when members of the audience booed a gay soldier.
“I know my son and all the kids with him,” said the vice-president, “I don’t think they give a damn whether the guy firing the rifle to protect them is gay or straight," referring to his son Beau who served in Iraq.
Calling the incident “reprehensible” he added; “Look, this kid risked his life, this kid was there for a year.”
