By Joe Jervis (New York, New York) APR 12 | Today NYC's Ali Forney Center remembers the birthday of their namesake, Ali Forney, who was brutally murdered on the streets in 1997. The Ali Forney Center opened in 2002.
Carl Siciliano founded the nation's largest GLBT homeless organization in memory of the murdered youth. This video documents the story behind the creation of the Center and is part of the David Raleigh The Friends Project, an artist supported effort to raise money for the Ali Forney Center so that they can continue their important work.
