This year's exhibition will showcase the talents of:
Connie Imboden
“Reflections”
Sol Mednick Gallery, 15th Floor
Connie Imboden has spent more than 25 years using photography to examine, distort and redefine the human body. Using the reflective and sometimes altering qualities of water and mirrors, her images create new forms that are at once mythological, archetypal and expressive. By so deeply investigating a subject we are so familiar with—the figure—her work reveals deeper meaning and provides insight to the human psyche.
as well as the talents of:
Lorenzo Triburgo
“Transportraits”
Gallery 1401, 14th Floor
Lorenzo Triburgo examines identity and representation. Triburgo creates landscape oil paintings as backdrops for photographic portraits of transgendered men. The austere portraits in combination with the dramatic color palette of their backgrounds are simultaneously thoughtful and playful.
