Brody's Notes... Zach Wahls:"The Sexual Orientation Of My Parents Has Had Zero Effect On The Content Of My Character."

By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) FEB 2 | Zach Wahls, a 19-year-old University of Iowa student spoke about the strength of his family during a public forum on House Joint Resolution 6 in the Iowa House of Representatives. Wahls has two mothers, and came to oppose House Joint Resolution 6 which would end civil unions in Iowa. The resolution passed yesterday by a vote of 62-37.
Wahls, a West High almnus and University of Iowa student, is founder and president of Iowa City Learns, an educational service dedicated to elevating academic achievement in Iowa City.

"Iowa City Learns believes that peer tutoring allows students to connect on a deeper intellectual level. We believe that, although many teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, students often require additional help mastering the material."
