That is inspiring to think that there are younger people who have sought out and discussed the history of LGBT people with older generations.

Everyone likes to feel that their lives and experiences have meaning for others, especially for those who are just discovering who they are.

There is a wealth of stories out there of LGBT people and their lives which really needs to be told, away from the wish fulfillment fiction which dominates LGBT literature.

I don't mean just documentaries of our lives, but also those insights conveyed in good story-telling and which, enrich the human condition without labels or discrimination.

There's a lot of work to do if we are to be fully accepted, and it begins by accepting ourselves, each other, and by standing firm against any idea that the LGBT people are in some way wrong, or sinners. We aren't. We're just being human and we're good at being that.
