By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) OCT 8 | The Bentonville, Arkansas based retail giant discount store chain, Wal-Mart, has commenced carrying a book entitled; Chased by an Elephant, the Gospel Truth about Today’s Stampeding Sexuality, written by the wife of the president of the fundamentalist anti-Gay Mormon group, Standard Of Liberty. SOL, which describes itself as; "...an LDS-oriented educational foundation which exists to raise awareness of radical sexual movements overrunning America's Christian-moral-cultural life and to inspire the public will, families, and individuals to counteract these trends," is featuring the title prominently on its website.
According to a spokesperson for SOL, the book, distributed by the LDS oriented publishing house Brigham Distributing, is available in 104 Wal-Mart stores in the retail giant's Inter-mountain Western Division and is also carried in the bookstore on campus at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah.
The book, authored by Janice Barrett Graham, whose stated aim in its introduction, was written to "help shed the clear light of truth on today’s dark and tangled ideas about male and female, proper gender roles, the law of chastity, and the God-given sexual appetite." Graham also adds:

“The number of our young people involved in sexual sins has greatly increased in recent years. Some of the most stalwart-seeming youth find themselves involved in pornography, fornication, promiscuity, homosexuality, and the like."LGBT activists are already decrying the retailer's decision to carry the title as yet another example of Wal-Mart's anti-Gay stance. The retailer's corporate media relations office in Arkansas had no comment.

Seriously though, do we need a 'corporate media relations office' to give us a comment? Don't actions speak much louder than words?
And as for the book, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. "today's dark and tangled ideas about male and female, proper gender roles..." Multiple underage and subservient brood mares is okay and a proper gender role?
Makes me think of that old line, Trab, "I don't care how many you bring me, but bring 'em young!"
Do you recall that the LDS folk said BLACKS are inferior people not very many years ago?
I do indeed recall that, and I think that saying was Catholic.
The history of Brigham Young (you have to say it aloud) reveals some interesting sexual habits.
