By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) OCT 2 | In a statement released yesterday, the grieving family of 18 year old Rutgers University student, Tyler Clementi, said that they hoped that their son's death "will serve as a call for compassion, empathy and human dignity." "The outpouring of emotion and support from our friends, community and family -- and from people across the country -- has been humbling and deeply moving," said Joe and Jane Clementi in the statement issued by their lawyer. "We thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts."

I don't know if it is appropriate to say this, and particularly here, but...

Has anyone actually checked if the so-called suicide facebook message was actually Tyler Clementi's? Has anyone even considered that his death might actually be much more sinister? It's not as if it was handwritten and verifiably his.
