By Brody Levesque (Bethesda, Maryland) OCT 16 | Friday afternoon, MSNBC Daytime Anchor Thomas Roberts interviewed Joel Burns, the openly gay councilman seated on the Fort Worth, Texas, city council, who used his "announcement time" during a council session earlier this week to speak on the tragic results of the recent of bullying & suicide of Gay teenagers and to reassure other LGBTQ youth that they weren't alone and didn't have to suffer.
Roberts, himself openly Gay, had come out publicly while addressing the annual convention of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, meeting in Miami in September of 2006.
