Brody's Scribbles... American Puritanism AKA Facebook Strikes Again

By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) AUG 20 | It never ceases to amaze me when considering what the rest of the world regards as a normal functioning part of being human beings, you know-- sexuality, how uptight, prudish, and outright immature a majority of Americans are on the subject.
Here's today's case in point:
At a recent concert, a grateful fan handed up a rather large stuffed bear to Australian singing sensation & pop star Kylie Minogue. A picture was taken and Ms. Minogue posted the picture of her holding said bear in her arms displaying it to the audience on Facebook, which immediately removed it. 
Oh, and the explanation to Ms Minogue? According to a spokesperson from Facebook, "We do not allow photos that contain nudity, drug use or violence." And also apparently not pictures with microphones allegedly doubling as phallus symbols either. Here's the picture:

It was bear, completely bear. So they were right. Ha!

Obviously Facebook was concerned that Kylie would want to marry the bear.
Another reason for me to not have a Facebook page.
