Brody's Journal... Stonewall UK: ‘Some people are gay. Get over it!’ bags- On offer at London Pride

From Stonewall UK's Director of Communications & Public Relations Gary Nunn:

LONDON-JUNE 30 | Stonewall is giving away exclusive limited edition ‘Some people are gay. Get over it!’ canvas bags at London Pride on Saturday 3 July for anyone who signs up to give a monthly donation to the charity at our stall in Trafalgar Square.

Funds will support the charity’s ongoing work, including the Education for All campaign, which tackles homophobic bullying in Britain’s schools.

Stonewall’s Deputy Fundraising Director Michaela Greene said: ‘The ‘Some people are gay. Get over it!’ slogan was devised by young people for young people – and it’s the perfect message for Pride season. Recent donations have helped fund Stonewall’s anti-homophobia film for schools FIT, which was sent to every secondary school in the country this year. Many teachers have reported a noticeable drop in homophobia in their classrooms since we sent this out. Your ongoing support will help us to maximise the impact that FIT has in schools – and help even more people to ‘get over it.’’

Over 150 Stonewall staff, volunteers and supporters will be marching with Stonewall at London Pride wearing t-shirts depicting two of its major campaigns: ‘Some people are gay. Get over it!’ and ‘Love your inner lesbian.’ T-shirts are £10 and can be ordered [here.]
