Brody's Scribbles... Google Jessee Vasold & You Get The O'Reilly Factor & ME?

By Brody Levesque (Washington DC) Oct 27 | I have this neat little gadget widget thingy that lets me check my statistics on folks who visit my website, which of course I do. Yesterday, there was a dramatic increase from the College of William & Mary's Internet Service Provider which wasn't a big surprise as I'd published an article about the student's electing Jessee Vasold as their homecoming queen. What did surprise me and then annoy me was that upon closer inspection, the majority were linking in from Google which ran this entry on the search page:

Fox foot soldiers like Bill
NOWHERE, will you even find a remote reference to ANY individuals from the Fox Television Network News [Alleged] corporation in my article. I don't know how the "googlebot," as my statistics meter calls it, gathers info and takes the 'page shots' of websites, but I gotta say, it REALLY screwed mine up.
If the students took offense and went too look at my site pissed off I can't say as I'd blame them any at all.
So, Google? If you read this? Fine tune your 'bot' thingy as its made me less thrilled with its accuracy in reporting, not unlike the crew it mentioned at Fox.
