By Tim Trent (Dartmouth, England) DEC 28 | Elton John and his partner David Furnish have announced the birth of a son. The baby boy, who was born Dec. 25 in California via a surrogate, weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces.
"We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment," John and Furnish said in a joint statement. "Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."
This is the first child for John, 62, and Furnish, 48. The couple married in 2005 after 12 years together.
Elton and David are now dads. Babies need love. Something tells me the little tyke will have love in spades. What a handle! Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John! But Zack is a great name to have in school. I was at school with a Zack back in 1970. Good strong name for a decent bloke.
Then we got the bigot from Christian Voice on the BBC news. Apparently this is unchristian.
I'll get off the fence and say precisely what I mean, Christian Voice should go and f**k itself.
And David, Elton, Great news! Zack, welcome!
